A Texas Legacy in Electrical Distribution
1970s–1986
The collaboration that shaped our roots began when Nelson Mauldin and the Jack Morgan Company introduced Republic Conduit in Texas, presenting the “Inch-Marked” EMT to distributors and contractors.
1986–1989
In 1986, Don Griffin led Electra-Lite Sales as a sub-rep for Jack Morgan Company to represent Republic Conduit in South Texas. Rick Guerrero, who joined Electra-Lite Sales in 1980, later worked as an outside salesman in South Texas. When Jack Morgan Company dissolved in 1989, Mauldin Griffin Sales was formed by Nelson Mauldin and Don Griffin. Rick moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, working alongside Nelson until Nelson’s retirement in 1990.
1990–2007
For five years, Rick managed the DFW, West Texas, and East Texas markets. In 1996, he relocated to Houston to open an office and expand his role. Over 18 years at Mauldin Griffin Sales, Rick coordinated closely with manufacturers and developed strong distributor relationships across Texas.
2008–Present
After Don Griffin retired in 2007, Rick established MGG Sales. In 2008, the agency became the representative for Republic Conduit in Texas, which was rebranded as Nucor Republic Conduit in 2017. Today, our team remains committed to the values that built our reputation—serving wholesale electrical partners and supporting manufacturer growth across Texas.
